BAD WAVE 1955

Following from the weird sci-fi vibes of ‘Daniel’ and the political anger of ‘Time To Get Lost’, Bad Wave are back with a synthesized prog-rock time traveller ‘1955’. While little information has been offered up about this one, we may suggest that the lyric “So c’mon, send me fire! Send me hot lights flashing!" imagines the feeling of being in the record breaking 100-degree heat wave in Los Angeles in 1955, and comparing that intense natural occurrence to the feeling of being in love, or at least desperately wanting to be in love. ‘1955’ is seriously not holding back on the heat or the passion, especially with those fiery guitar progressions, relentless drums and a vocal performance going full throttle. It’s their most energetic track to date, one that you could easily predict the Bad Wave duo would tear up on stage. - HT
